Stephen Covey, Ph.D.
Dr. Stephen Covey received his undergraduate
degree from the University of Utah, his MBA from Harvard, and
completed his doctorate at Brigham Young University.
An international leadership
authority, family expert, teacher, organizational consultant, and
author, Dr. Covey was recognized as one of Time magazine's 25 most
influential Americans and one of Sales and Marketing Management's
top 25 power brokers. Covey continues to share his vision of
discipline and passion to inspire, lift and provide tools for change
and growth of individuals and organizations throughout the world.
Dr. Covey's world legacy is
Covey Leadership Center, which merged with Franklin Quest on May 30,
1997. The merger of Covey Leadership Center with Franklin Quest
created FranklinCovey, which continues the vision of Dr. Covey of
empowering organizations to implement "principle-centered"
leadership in their cultures.
Throughout his career, Covey
has authored several best-selling books including
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
Forbes named The 7 Habits of Highly Effective
People one of the top 10 most influential management books ever
in 2002, it was also named one of the two most influential business
books of the twentieth century by a survey by Chief Executive
Magazine. Covey also authored First Things
First, Principle-Centered Leadership, The 7
Habits of Highly Effective Families and The 8th
Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness.
Dr. Covey has also been a
recipient of several achievement awards including the
Speaker of the
Year, International Man of Peace,
National
Entrepreneur of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award for
Entrepreneurial Leadership, and the
National Fatherhood Award, as well
as having been awarded eight (8) honorary doctorate
degrees.
