Sensitive Area
(ESA) Mapping
ESA maps are inventories identifying rare,
sensitive and unique natural features. ESA maps identify important
ecosystems or ecosystem segments. They document 'significant' natural
features and rate their significance: regionally, provincially,
nationally, and internationally. ESA maps are required as part of New Jersey's
Department of Environmental Protection's DPCC/ DCR plan.
